流動場におけるアイソタクチックポリプロピレンのシシケバブ構造形成

We study the morphology of shish-kebab structure in an extruded strand of isotactic polypropylene.
The microtomed specimens along the flow direction and cross-section were observed by using polarizing optical
microscope, AFM and TEM. There is a lot of shish-kebab near the surface of strand and an isolated one at the
center. Therefore, it is supposed that a formation of shish-kebab was affected by shear. Kebab grew
anisotropically due to temperature gradient in the strand.
